Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the services operated by Internship in Brighton Ltd. Your access to and use of our service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who decide to access or use our services. By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you should not use our services.
We may terminate or suspend your access to our Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. All provisions of the Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity and limitations of liability.
1. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding our Services, and supersede and replace any prior agreements regarding these Services.
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Service.
3. Delivery Policy
We will deliver relevant information required pertaining to any services purchased within 5 working days of purchase.
4. Refund / Cancellation Policy
All cancellations should be notified in writing to us or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Our cancellation charges apply as follows:
We offer a refund and cancellation policy if you are not happy with the service purchased. If you decide to cancel your registration with us at least one calendar month prior to your arrival in the UK, we will refund the registration fee. If you have paid for an internship, we will also refund this amount in full up to one calendar month before departure. An administration fee (£65 GBP) will be deducted in both cases.
If, in the unlikely event and for reasons beyond our control, it becomes necessary for us to cancel your internship, we will offer a full refund of your registration and internship fees to you, up to the day of departure (less a £65 GBP administration fee in total).
Accommodation with a host family (including those provided by our agents)
Before the accommodation start date: We will refund your monies due or payment made less two weeks payment of the host family costs in relation to your specific booking with us (as detailed on our web site).
After the accommodation start date: We will refund your monies paid less two weeks host family costs from the following Saturday of your cancellation notice.
Language courses (including those provided by our agents)
Before the course starting date: We will refund your payment due or made to us less two weeks fees for your language course or your total paid (whichever is the lesser).
After the course starting date: We will refund your payment due or made to us less two weeks fees starting from the following Monday, for your language course or your total paid (whichever is the lesser).
5. Pricing and payment
Prices for our services are set out in the relevant pages of this website and in our latest brochures for Students, Agencies & Host families. The brochures are available by download from this site. A printed version can be sent to you on request.
If you chose to pay by credit card, the cards details will only be used for a single purchase. We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer financial details with any 3rd parties.
Please DO ensure that you take out appropriate insurance before you arrive in the UK.
You must either take out your own adequate insurance to cover yourself against all appropriate loss, damage and other eventualities before arrival or ensure the agency or educational establishment responsible for organising your travel package (including all services provided by Internship in Brighton Ltd and purchased in your name by the agency or educational establishment) does so for you. This is a condition of our acceptance of you on all services organised by and through IIB (Internship in Brighton Ltd).
The placement and internship companies we use provide us with a written assertion that they have current public liability insurance in place in their establishments and a copy of this is available upon request.
The host families registered with IIB, provide us with a written assertion that they are insured against any damage they or their household contents & property may do to your person whilst you are staying with them and a copy of this assertion of insurance is available upon request. Our host families’ accommodation is regularly checked. Sometimes, we may use host families provided by another agency (which we will “buy in”). If we do so, we will clearly inform you of this and you may request full insurance details from them. Please note their policies may differ slightly from our own.
Internship in Brighton Ltd (IIB) will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to your property or injury to self or injury that you cause to others, whilst you are engaged upon any services, such as an internship, seminar or educational visit or outing arranged through IIB, in the United Kingdom, either in the host company, at the host family or generally when you are in the United Kingdom itself.
